CROSS COUNTRY

The Tipperary Cross Country Championships took place at Thurles Racecourse on Wednesday 4th February.  Rockwell had a very small representation at the Championships, but what was lacking in numbers was made up in quality.  Cliona Doyle finished in second place in the Girls’ Intermediate (U.17) race (1500 metres); Mark Cummins finished in third place in the Boys’ Intermediate (U.17) race, and Ross Mullane finished in eighth place in the Boys’ Intermediate race.  Each of the athletes had creditable performances in heavy mucky conditions.
