Basketball 2009-'10
The First Year Boys, having qualified for the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland, played a round-robin blitz at the University of Limerick to see if they could advance to the semi-final stage. They had a good win over St. Vincent’s, Dublin; a single-basket defeat at the hands of St.Clement’s, Limerick, but were well-beaten by Rochestown, Cork. St.Clement’s qualified for the next stage of the competition.

Played in Rockwell on Thursday 22nd. Oct. ’09. Rockwell got off to a great start for the season. Cashel had the advantage of having played a match but Rockwell started strongly, with baskets from Eoghan Sheehy and J.J. Cooney. At the end of the first quarter Rockwell were up by 15-8. Rockwell continued to press and at half time led by 32-24.
Cashel fought back in the 3rd. quarter and brought the score back to 40-34.However, Rockwell were the fitter team and ran out victors by 53-34.
