The most recent development in Rockwell College involved the construction of a changing rooms’ pavilion at a accost of €1.2 million. The need for this project was been identified by pupils and staff who experienced daily the restrictions of the previous provisions.
Completed in 2018, the Fr. Aidan Lehane CSSp Pavilion comprises of eight new changing rooms with shower facilities, a Fitness Suite for general use, staff changing space and equipment storage. Prior to this project, the College undertook the refitting of the Home Economics Room.
Investment in IT in 2020 ensured that the College staff and pupils were prepared for remote learning during the 2021 COVID closure period.
A refurbishment of the Boarding School Residence facilities to enhance the experience for our residential boarders has been ongoing. The Common Room has been refurbished, a new outdoor multipurpose court is opening in September 2021 and the Residence Gym is being re-floored prior to the 2022 school year.
IT expansion is required to ensure that up to date hardware and software is in place to support the continued provision of high quality Teaching and Learning at Rockwell College. In addition, upgrade works across the plant are continuing to ensure that the building is maintained to a high standard for our pupils safety and enjoyment.
